CIPD: Stress is no. 1 cause of long-term absence

Prior to the CIPD Annual Conference on 8-10 November, CIPD/Simplyhealth has released its 2011 Absence Management survey. The report makes interesting reading as the findings show that stress is, for the first time, the most common cause of long-term sickness absence amongst respondents.

With UK’s economy losing 190 million working days due to absence in 2010, the report is sure to be a talking point at the conference with so many businesses looking for a solution to address absence management.
