Minimum wage up by 15p to £6.08

From 1st October 2011, the national minimum wage rate for adults aged 21 or over increased from £5.93 per hour to £6.08 per hour.

For younger workers aged 18 – 20 the rate has increased from £4.92 to £4.98 while for 16 to 17 year olds the rate rises from £3.64 to £3.68.

Apprentices also see their rate go up from £2.50 to £2.60.
